Stage - an introspective

They lined up, some camping just to reserve their places, hoping to get the best view of their lifetime - it was phenomenal just watching those columns and rows of fans screaming and waving their boards which displayed their favourite singer, some wearing costumes of their singer's favourite anime/manga characters.

But what was there to see? What are they really lining up for? To hear? To sing? And get up-close-and-personal? So what do they get in the end?

Was everything worth it?

Perhaps, perhaps not.

What had their parents been saying about this? There had been debates on the news saying how expensive it has been to let their kids upkeep their cosplay hobbies - and how did this "cosplay thingy" came about?

Cosplay aside, we all agree that ticket prices have increased drastically. That was why countless meetings had been held since a year ago to try to reduce the prices. The fans had spent their cash on CDs, mp3 downloads, cosplay, manga-and-anime-related products - it was time to return this favour.

Sure there had been oppositions from some of the meeting attendees especially maintenance costs. However proceeds from previous concerts and sales made were enough to sustain everyone. And there's a substantial amount to fund part of the tickets.

Amazing how one gives and receives more than a hundredfold.

So it didn't matter how much they gave for they too receive the thanks for their endless support - the tours, promo tours, meet-the-fans-worldwide sessions..tiring but looking through the windows of the tour bus, seeing them screaming and waving frantically upon catching a glimpse of their idol - worth every fibre of muscle overstrain.

The fans lining up were getting more and more excited - the wait was worth every second of their time..soon they would feel the adrenaline rush, filling the whole stadium with their frenzy - and some of them would wake up finding themselves resting in hospital beds, only to realise they had fainted from dehydration yesterday night.

Whatever.

Showtime soon.

Time to give back whatever's given.
